Scott Lobdell unveils 'The Butler'

Scott Lobdell has confirmed that he is working on a new miniseries for Image Comics titled The Butler, CBR reports.

Created in collaboration with artist Dan Duncan, the five-issue title was officially unveiled during the scribe's panel at Long Beach Comic-Con.

The comic tells the story of a long-serving butler to a superhero team, who must use his inside knowledge to save the day when his masters turn rogue and take over the UN. "It's, what if the Avengers snapped and the only one who can stop them is Jarvis?" explained Lobdell.

Lobdell and Duncan previously teamed up for the IDW series Music Box, which was co-written by actress Jennifer Love Hewitt.

A launch date is yet to be announced, though the duo revealed that work on the first issue will commence within a month.
