The spinoff will be headed up by Grimm Fairy Tales creators Joe Crusha and Ralph Tedesco and will reportedly expand on previous tales written in the main series.
"This series will allow us to now expand on past fairy tales we've already written in the original Grimm series and now turn them into four and five issue story arcs," Tedesco told Newsarama. "It's going to be dark and twisted on a whole new level."
Grimm Fairy Tales, which was launched by Zenescope in 2005, retells classic myths and fairy tales with a modern twist.
The first story arc of Grimm Fairy Tales: Myths & Legends will be written by Raven Gregory with art from David Miller. It will focus on the characters of Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf.
