The arena show will focus on the relationship between Batman and Robin and how Dick Grayson grows into his role as the Boy Wonder.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, the show will begin with a breakout from Arkham Asylum, pitting the dynamic duo against the Joker, Catwoman, the Riddler, Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn in a scene that somehow involves a 26-foot giant Joker head.
The multimillion-dollar production will feature 45 performers, a 100-foot stage and a 130-foot-wide video screen.
Plans for the project were first reported in April but only officially announced this week. The show will debut in July 2011 in the UK, visiting locations including Manchester, Liverpool, London and Glasgow before touring Europe and the US.
