Posting on its official blog, the publisher released a teaser featuring the iconic 'Death of Superman' logo alongside the caption: "Doomsday Will Reign."
No further details of the plotline were revealed, though it is expected to be written by Chris Roberson following his unveiling as J. Michael Straczynski's successor on DC's monthly Superman title.
Doomsday was first introduced in 1993 during the popular 'Death of Superman' event. The villain fatally wounded The Man of Steel in Superman #75, which went on to become one of the bestselling comics of the decade.
Full details about the project are expected to be released soon.
