Editor-in-chief Bob Harras revealed that Berganza would be overseeing all titles in the DC Universe line on The Source.
He also announced that Ian Sattler has been promoted to director - editorial, special projects and archival editions.
DC veteran Berganza has worked as a senior editor and then group editor. The 19-year employee oversaw high-profile events including Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis and Blackest Night and will work on the upcoming Flashpoint.
Satter has worked as DCU senior story editor for the last three years.
Dan DiDio had served as DCU executive editor before being promoted to co-publisher in February.
