The creator of Vagabond has revealed that the manga has been put on indefinite hiatus.
The chapter due for Kodansha's Morning magazine in August was delayed by Takehiko Inoue due to ill health and no further chapters have been released since, reports Anime News Network.
Inoue has explained that, despite tests revealing nothing seriously wrong with him, he will not be continuing work on the manga until he has regained his enthusiasm for the series. He offered apologies to his readers.
The historical manga Vagabond has been published in Morning since 1998, and is on its 33rd collected volume.
