Boom! Studios has announced a new series starring Michael Moorcock's legendary anti-hero Elric.
Chris Roberson (iZombie, Stan Lee's Starborn) will pen Elric: The Balance Lost, which will begin in a prequel on May's Free Comic Book Day.
"Elric is in inspired hands," said legendary fantasy writer Moorcock. "I'm enthusiastically looking forward to his appearance from Boom! Studios.
"One of the best writers of his generation, Chris Roberson, will be writing a brilliantly conceived, entirely new Elric story in the grand manner. I can't wait."
The series will see Elric of Melniboné battling a threat to the cosmic balance alongside other incarnations of the Eternal Champion including Corum and Dorian Hawkmoon.
Elric: The Balance Lost #1 will be released in July.
