Veteran colourist Adrienne Roy has died at the age of 57 following a year-long battle with cancer.
Best known for her work on DC titles, Roy is renowned for her extensive runs on Batman, Detective Comics and The New Teen Titans.
Comic writer and commentator Mark Evanier paid tribute to the artist via his website News From Me.
"Her long tenure on Batman (more than 600 issues of various comics featuring the character) meant that her credit appeared on more tales of the Caped Crusader than anyone else except for Bob Kane," he wrote.
Providing colour designs for DC for over two decades, Roy also worked on Green Lantern, Superman, Warlord, Wonder Woman and other iconic titles.
She is survived by her daughter Katrina Tollin, her brother Normand and her former husband and art partner Anthony Tollin.
