The publisher has donated 100 blank cardstock copies of October's Justice League Of America #50 for high-profile artists to illustrate to raise money for the charity organisation.
Participating creators include DC co-publisher Jim Lee, Alex Ross, George Perez, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, Tony Parker and many more.
"It's an honour to participate, not only because this is the first time DC Comics is collaborating with Hero Initiative, but because Hero Initiative is such an important organisation to our community," said Lee.
Hero Initiative is a charity dedicated to helping comic creators in medical or financial need. The organisation announced similar schemes with Marvel and Archie last year.
The Justice League Of America #50 cover designs will be published in a collected volume later this year. A public viewing of the artwork will also be scheduled.
