Aaron's debut arc on the title saw Wolverine unknowingly attacking his X-Men teammates, leading to Cyclops confronting him at the end of Wolverine #5 and setting up the new story arc, 'Wolverine vs. the X-Men'.
"Cyclops would be an idiot at this point if he didn't have a plan for how to deal with an out of control Wolverine, because we've seen it so many times now," Aaron explained to Comic Book Resources. "We'll see how he's equipped to take down Wolverine and if he's willing to pull the trigger to take him out for good if he feels like he has to."
The writer teased that Cyclops will have a number of contingency plans he will attempt to execute over the course of the arc to try and take Logan down, involving the use of a variety of X-Men characters including Magneto, Namor, and Fantomex.
Former X-Men: Legacy artist Daniel Acuna will take over as series artist on the title, beginning with the new story arc.
Wolverine #6 is due to be published on February 16.
