Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark
Ticket sales for the musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark are on the rise despite scathing reviews.

According to Arts Beat, the Broadway show saw a 3% increase in admissions and grossed $1.33 million (£820,000) in the past week. Box office figures reveal that it was the second-highest grossing show behind Wicked.

Directed by Julie Taymor, Turn Off The Dark is the most expensive production in Broadway history.

The comic book-inspired show has endured numerous setbacks since production began. Budgetary issues and on-set injuries resulted in it being postponed several times. Preview performances commenced in November 2010.

Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark opens to the public on March 15.
