Spring 2011 Xeric winners unveiled

The winners of the Spring 2011 Xeric Grant winners have been unveiled.
The organisation funds the projects of its winning cartoonists.
$31,158 (£19,211) has been allocated among the seven successful candidates, reports The Beat.
The winners were Nick Maandag (Streakers), Melissa Mendes (Freddy Stories), John Martz (Heaven All Day), Kevin Mutch (Fantastic Life), Brendan Leach (The Pterodactyl Hunters (in the Guilded City)), Steve LeCouilliard (Much the Miller's Son) and Benjamin Rivers (Snow).
Xeric has awarded over $2.4 million (£1.48 million) since it was founded in September 1992 by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Peter Laird.
