The writer, who recently finished his second story arc as writer on the flagship title, claimed that the addition of a new ongoing Venom series by Rick Remender will cement the Spider-Man family as one of the best franchises at the company.
"I've read Rick [Remender's] scripts for upcoming Venom issues and they're insane, they're wonderful," Slott told Newsarama. "Rick's Venom book is so frickin' cool.
"Spider-Girl's been great, and Zeb Wells and Clayton Crain's Carnage book is wonderful," Slott continued. "I think it's a murderer's row of Spider-Man projects.
"I think the Spider-Man universe is just going to kick everybody's butt this year, because look at all the great books in the Spider-Man umbrella," the writer added.
Slott introduced the new Venom host in last week's special Point One issue of Amazing Spider-Man, which serves as a launching pad for the new series.
Venom is due to launch next month.
