According to Lorehound, the World Of Warcraft studio is parting company with the publisher due to difficulties overseeing licensed projects.
The two firms announced a partnership to produce manga comics based on the MMO phenomenon. Their collaborative efforts include Dragons Of Outland, Shaman and the Warcraft Legends series.
The report also suggested that the long-running financial troubles of Borders Group have impacted on Tokyopop, who recently laid off several senior editors.
Blizzard and Tokyopop are yet to officially announce that they are parting company.
