Marvel Comics senior editor Nick Lowe has seemingly revealed that Schism will be the title of this year's big X-Men event.

Lowe dropped the first hint at what the event will be about after discussing Paul Jenkins' upcoming X-Men Prelude miniseries, which will serve as a precursor to the main event by focusing on the leadership struggle between Cyclops, Professor X, Magneto, and Wolverine.

"Paul pulled something out of the air that tied in with what we were planning," Lowe told Comic Book Resources. "What Paul is doing is for the fans.

"He's digging into the four main X-Dudes, and each of their point of views," Lowe explained. "It definitely deals with the characters and where they are now."

Lowe then revealed that Jenkins' series is actually titled X-Men: Prelude to Schism, suggesting that Schism is the name of the upcoming event.

Lowe also released a special teaser image for Schism, depicting Cyclops' trademark visor shattered into pieces with the tagline, "I will not let him divide us".

X-Men: Prelude to Schism begins in May.
