Dynamic Forces outbid Moonstone Books for the licence to produce comics and graphic novels based on the series, which originally debuted in 1984.
The property is currently enjoying a revival, with a new Voltron series scheduled to debut on Nickelodeon this year.
Voltron follows the adventures of young pilots who can combine their vehicles together into the titular robot.
The most recent Voltron comic was published by Devil's Due in 2008.
