According to Deadline, the programme will feature original and exclusive content based on the publisher's catalogue.
Further details are yet to be revealed, though it has been confirmed that the show will launch alongside online content and draw from "publishing, theatrical and television assets".
Last year, DC and Cartoon Network announced Green Lantern: The Animated Series to tie in with the property's cinematic debut. The show has since been given a release date of late 2011.
The broadcaster previously partnered with Marvel Comics to air episodes of Super Hero Squad.
DC Nation launches in 2012.
