'Avengelyne' returns to Image

Writing on his blog, the comics creator revealed that his character will appear in an ongoing title from Image Comics launching in the summer.
The series will be penned by Liefeld and Mark Poulton (Koni Waves) with art by Owen Gieni. Poulton also wrote the Avengelyne vs. Koni Waves one-shot that was published last year by Arcana.
Avengelyne is a fallen angel cast down to earth to battle demons and the forces of evil. She has appeared in various one-shots and miniseries, and previously had her own ongoing series on Liefeld's Maximum Press in the mid-'90s.
The series will debut in July. The creative team are reportedly already at work on the third issue.
The Infinite - a Liefeld-illustrated title written by Robert Kirkman - was recently announced by Image.
