More than 15,000 passes have already been sold for the London convention, which is expected to draw around 60,000 visitors when it commences in May, MCV reports.
Organised in conjunction with Gamespot UK, this year's show is sponsored by DC and Warner Bros' Green Lantern. X-Men: First Class and Thor writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz have been confirmed as special guests.
"We are absolutely delighted to see advance sales so high this year," said co-organiser Bryan Cooney. "One reason for this unprecedented public interest is our recent media partnership with Gamespot UK.
"We were already the UK's leading show for comics, movies, anime and manga, and this partnership ensures that the Expo delivers the best games content as well."
The MCM Expo takes place at London's Excel between May 27 and May 29. A separate Midlands MCM Expo is being held in Manchester on July 30.
