DC Comics has announced War of the Green Lanterns: Aftermath.
The two-part event - written by Tony Bedard and illustrated by Miguel Sepulveda - will follow on from the current Green Lantern storyline.
"The 'War of the Green Lanterns' will forever change the lives of Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner in ways that nobody could predict," said the publisher on The Source. "[The title] explores the shocking consequences the war had on the corps and its central members."
Dave Johnson's cover hints at a grizzly fate for one of the green lanterns.
'War of the Green Lanterns' has spun out of the Brightest Day tie-in 'New Guardians' arc, which saw the return of the rogue guardian Krona as he quested to acquire the entities of the various corps. This has resulted in an all-out war between members of the green lantern corps.
DC recently announced Brightest Day Aftermath: The Search, a three-issue miniseries that similarly serves as an epilogue for its 'Brightest Day' event.
War of the Green Lanterns: Aftermath will debut in July.
