Illustrated by the writer's frequent collaborator Joseph Remnant, Cleveland will be released by Top Shelf in conjunction with new outfit ZIP Comics.
"It's a privilege to publish one of my idols, especially a graphic novel with such breathtaking art by Joseph who really hit it out of the park, in this case Cleveland's Progressive Field," said ZIP Comics president Josh Frankel.
"It's a true honour and treat to work with Top Shelf who put out so many of my favourite graphic novels like Blankets, Super Spy and Jeffrey Brown's terrific books."
Cleveland is an ode to Pekar's home town that covers historic events from his trademark autobiographical perspective. The scribe completed the script prior to his death last year.
A release date for Cleveland is yet to be announced.
