Marvel Comics' Namor: The First Mutant is to end this summer.

In an interview with CBR, writer Stuart Moore confirmed that the title will conclude in June with issue #11.

"It's my sad duty to report that Namor: The First Mutant will end with issue #11, so we're not going to get around to Fantastic Four guest stars," he said. "I expect you'll see some of that, eventually, in Jonathan Hickman and Steve Epting's terrific new FF title."

Moore went on to say that issues #9 to #11 of Namor will form a story arc called 'The Fire Down Below', which pulls together all of the series' plot threads.

"I'm very pleased with these issues - as much as anything I've ever written - and tag-team artists Carlos Rodriguez and Sergio AriƱo are bringing them brilliantly to life," he added. "Their detail work on New Atlantis is stunning and the storytelling is both crystal clear and splashy as hell.

"If you've been reading, I think you'll like where we're going. If you've been thinking of jumping on, this is the perfect time."

Namor debuted in August with a story arc that tied into the X-Men event 'Curse of the Mutants'. Low sales figures are thought to be behind its discontinuation.

Namor: The First Mutant #11 arrives in stores on June 22.
