Speaking to DS, line editor AE Stueve said that the title deals with the "twilight" of the Greek gods and addresses what happens when people stop believing in them.
"It comes down to a question of belief and who created whom," he said. "Did the gods create man or did man create gods? Well, in The Wave #0 we answer that question... kind of.
"When mankind completely and totally stops believing, the gods stop being. What you see in The Wave #0 is what happens to the gods when the belief ends. Specifically, readers will get to see what Artemis, Zeus, Poseidon and Persephone deal with in their twilight - also, of course, we'll see what happens to two mortals who had some issues with the gods - Heracles and Orion."
The Wave #0 will be followed by four four-issue miniseries - Artemis, Orion, Hercules and Trident: The Power Of Poseidon, which are all based within the same universe.
The Wave #0 arrives in stores this autumn.
