Plastic Farm: Sowing Seeds on Fertile Soil collects the earliest the first stories in the series, which has previously been published online and in minicomic format, reports Robot 6.
"Chester Carter has issues," reads Alterna's solicitation. "He was abandoned as a baby, raised in a haunted psychiatric hospital, has a magical dinosaur-riding cowboy living inside of his head, and just might be the most important person who has ever lived. Now, he sits in a nameless airport bar telling his life story to a bunch of people who really couldn't care less."
Roberts has revised the artwork and lettering on more than 100-pages of the book. "This process about killed my wrist, but seeing the final product, I can say it was absolutely worth it," he said.
Roberts recently contributed a guest strip to Danielle Corsetto's Girls with Slingshots, and was nominated for a SPACE prize for his Plastic Farm minicomics (issues 15-17).
Plastic Farm debuted in 2000. The collection will be released on July 1.
