A recent update for the device introduced an app store, enabling users to purchase and run software as well as read books.
Several graphic novels from Graphic.Ly are available via the storefront as launch titles. These include BOOM! Studios' Irredeemable, Top Cow's Wanted and Archaia's Mouse Guard: Fall 1152.
"We've worked with Barnes & Noble to specially craft these apps to be optimised for reading on the Nook Color, and I've got to say they're pretty sweet," read a statement from Graphic.Ly.
"The Nook Color is a great device - running on the Android platform from Google - and is super affordable at only $249 (£150). So if you're looking for a new way to read digital comics, you might want to give the Nook Colour a try, especially now that it's got Graphic.Ly on it."
Barnes & Noble released the Nook Color in October 2010.
