Bryan Fuller has offered a first look at the long-awaited Pushing Daisies comic.
The show's creator released a first page of the forthcoming title on Twitter, although he did not identify its artist.
Fuller has been promising a follow-up to Pushing Daisies since its cancellation in 2008. Last autumn he said that the first issue "will hopefully be out in early 2011".
It was previously planned as a 12-issue limited series to be published on DC Comics' now defunct WildStorm imprint.
The comic is intended to tie up the loose ends remaining in the tale of the pie maker with the ability to resurrect the dead with a touch. It sees a flash flood hit the town and release a host of bodies from a nearby cemetery.
Fuller did not indicate when the comic will debut.
The original TV series, which aired between 2007 and 2009, starred Lee Pace as pie maker Ned and Anna Friel as his childhood sweetheart Charlotte.
