The ongoing series will be penned by Jonathan Hickman (S.H.I.E.L.D, Secret Warriors) and illustrated by Esad Ribic.
It follows on from the current 'Death of Spider-Man' storyline and weekly July series Ultimate Fallout, and is the first title to be announced under the new 'Ultimate Comics Universe Reborn' banner.
The comics will feature a team comprised of Nick Fury, Thor, Spider-Woman, Hulk and "other heroes" to be revealed. The first arc will be titled 'The Republic is Burning'.
"We're building a cohesive universe in that all the Ultimate books will be tied in pretty tightly, and we'll be playing off each other," said Hickman at Marvel's press conference. "I think the Ultimates should be one of the better and bigger books in the Marvel universe."
Editor Mark Paniccia said that the publisher intended to be tighter with the scheduling of the new 'Ultimate' titles, following long delays on the recent books from Mark Millar and Jeph Loeb.
Hickman promised some new 'Ultimate' versions of classic characters would be introduced alongside all-new heroes and villains.
Ultimate Comics: Ultimates will debut in August.
