Marvel Comics has revealed details of the New Mutants' role in the 'Fear Itself' event.
According to the publisher, New Mutants #29 sees the team battle alongside the Norse gods against The Worthy as part of the company-wide plotline.
Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, the comic features pencils and covers by David Lafuente. It arrives in stores in August.
"The New Mutants have a direct line to the Norse gods via Dani. We honestly can't believe what they're letting us do to the team [for] 'Fear Itself'," said Abnett and Lanning. "We can't give it all away, but we're taking our heroes to hell... and Hel... and back!"
Last week, it was reported that a new Namor miniseries will also tie in with the event. Several other Marvel titles, including Uncanny X-Force and Uncanny X-Men, will feature related plot threads.
'Fear Itself' kicked off in March. Issue #3 of Matt Fraction and Stuart Immonen's core miniseries is released in June.
