Dark Horse Comics has announced further additions to its newly relaunched Dark Horse Presents title.
The third issue will include a 13-page preview of Jim Steranko's Red Tide graphic novel.
Issues #4, #6 and #8 will feature all new stories from Evan Dorkin and Jill Thompson's Eisner Award-winning Beasts of Burden title.
"I was a contributor to the original run of Dark Horse Presents and also did some work for the MySpace version, so it's been very cool to be able to also take part in the newest incarnation of the anthology," said Dorkin.
"These new stories take place shortly after the events of the Hellboy crossover from last year, are self-contained, and can be easily followed by folks who haven't read the previous comics. I hope our regular readers will enjoy these stories - Jill's painted artwork is as amazing as always, and there are character and background details dropped throughout the episodes that add to the overall story line we've been building."
Beasts of Burden follows the adventures of a group of pets who protect their hometown from supernatural threats.
Dark Horse are publishing a new edition of Steranko's illustrated novel Chandler: Red Tide, a 1976 crime noir story that was an early form of the graphic novel.
Veteran creators including Howard Chaykin and Neal Adams have been involved with the rebooted anthology series.
Dark Horse Presents #3 will be released on August 24.
