Marvel Comics has released a teaser illustration for the upcoming X-Men: Schism event.
Written by Jason Aaaron with illustrations from Carlos Pacheco and Frank Cho, the plotline sees divisions rise up within the mutant team.
The promo illustration, drawn by Adam Kubert, depicts a brawl between Wolverine and Cyclops. Full details of the storyline are yet to be revealed.
"In some ways this culminates everything that has been going on in the X-Men universe going back to House of M," Aaron said via Marvel's website. "Things have been building towards this for a while.
"Things come to a head between Scott and Logan after all we've seen the X-Men go through these past years. You'll start to see them ripped apart."
X-Men: Schism #1 arrives in stores on July 13.
