According to Bleeding Cool, the Walking Dead scribe and series co-creator will end his run on the title with issue #18.
It was previously reported that interior artist Greg Capullo, who was appointed as full-time illustrator in January 2010, is leaving the book to work on Batman for DC. His final contributions will feature in the same issue.
The report noted that the comic has not been solicited for July and August, though a new creative team is expected to be unveiled for issue #20 onwards.
Created by Kirkman and Todd McFarlane, Haunt follows a "less than holy" priest named Daniel Killgore, who merges with the ghost of his dead brother and transforms into the titular character. The title has seen high sales figures since its launch in 2009.
Haunt #18 arrives in stores next month.
