The debut issue of Rick Remender and Tony Moore's new ongoing series has sold out at the distribution level for a second time.
The title casts Peter Parker's long-time rival Flash Thompson as the newest host of the alien symbiote, employed as an agent of the US government.
"America's newest black ops agent, Flash Thompson, hits the ground running taking on the missions too dangerous for the Marines, too secret for the White House... and too messy for an Avenger," said the publisher.
In February, Moore revealed that five pages of his original artwork for the issue were stolen while in transit to the inker.
Venom #1 Third Printing Variant will be released on June 22, with a cover by Marvel Entertainment's chief creative officer Joe Quesada.
