'Walking Dead', Grant Morrison win Eagle Awards

J.H. Williams III, Mike Mignola, Grant Morrison, Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba all received multiple honours.
The Eagle Awards were presented at London's MCM Expo at the ExCel Centre last weekend.
Paul Cornell (Action Comics) was named 'Favourite Newcomer Writer', Sara Pichelli (Ultimate Spider-Man) won 'Favourite Newcomer Artist' and Morrison was named 'Favourite Writer'.
Batman and Robin - which has featured work by both Cornell and Morrison - won in the 'Best American Comic Book - Colour' category, The Walking Dead was honoured in the 'Black and White' category and 2000 AD was awarded 'Best British Comic Book - Colour'.
The British awards were established in 1976 to honour the best in the UK and US comics industries.

MCM Expo reported record sales of advanced tickets this year.
