The DC chief creative officer told Fast Company that the crime drama is "going to be a great TV show", sparking rumours that an adaptation is already in the pipeline.
"Vertigo has a comic, 100 Bullets, which is a great story if you like crime comics, and it's going to be a great TV show," he said. "Vertigo comics tend to create their own worlds, so we can see clearly what each storyline is, and consider them for television or film."
100 Bullets is a revenge-themed pulp noir crime drama, written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Eduardo Risso. The book ran for 100 issues and was awarded both Eisner and Harvey accolades.
Speculation that the series is in line for the small screen surfaced two years ago, when Azzarello expressed interest in a potential adaption during an MTV interview.
A 100 Bullets television show is yet to be officially announced.
