Magician: Master has become Marvel Comics' first full-length digital series.
The five-part miniseries will be the first published entirely on the Marvel Comics app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch before arriving in stores.
The title continues the publisher's adaptation of Raymond E Feist's celebrated Magician novel, produced by Harvey Award-winning writer Bryan J Glass and artists Tim Seeley and Hugo Petrus.
It follows the adventures of Pug, Tomas and Prince Arutha as they struggle to protect their home from invaders from another dimension.
Feist said: "I am both pleased and excited at having Magician: Master selected to be the first full digital exclusive series chosen by Marvel to be available on the Marvel Comics app worldwide.
"The creative talent involved makes me proud to see what other creative forces can do with my imaginings."
The first issue became available yesterday, with the other four parts released weekly.
