Penguin: Pain and Prejudice will be released alongside the publisher's 52 new ongoing titles. It explores the origins of the infamous Batman villain.
It will be penned by novelist Gregg Hurwitz (You're Next) and illustrated by new talent Szymon Kudranksi (Spawn).
"In this exciting new miniseries... the painful and dark past of one of Batman's most devious foes is examined," reads DC's solicitation.
"How did young Oswald Cobblepot go from being the apple of his mother's eye to the leader of underworld gangs and adversary of The Caped Crusader? Find out in Penguin: Pain and Prejudice!"
A Huntress miniseries by veteran DC writer Paul Levitz and artists Marcus To and John Dell has also been announced.
The two new miniseries were solicited alongside the second issues of the 11 new ongoing Batman titles.
Penguin: Pain and Prejudice will debut on October 5.
