Acclaimed writer Brian K Vaughan will appear at San Diego Comic-Con.
The Y: The Last Man creator is scheduled to feature on Image Comics' 'Creator-Owned Comics With Robert Kirkman' panel on Saturday afternoon, reports iFanboy.
Vaughan has been absent from the comics industry since last year's conclusion of his Ex Machina series on the now defunct Wildstorm Productions imprint.
He was a principal writer from the third season of Lost, contributing to a number of critically-acclaimed episodes including season four's 'The Shape of Things to Come' and 'Namaste' from season five. He left the show in its penultimate season.
Vaughan is the creator of Marvel Comics' celebrated Runaways series. Plans for a television adaptation were "postponed indefinitely" last year.
He also worked on an arc of Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight comic.
Nothing has yet been revealed about what Vaughan might announce during his appearance at Comic-Con.
