Image Comics has announced new Jonathan Hickman projects at San Diego Comic-Con.

The writer unveiled The Manhattan Projects and Secret during Image Comics' creator-owned panel, reports Comic Book Resources.

Hickman is working with artist Nick Pitarra on The Manhattan Projects, which he called "the Thunderbolts of Science". It will feature characters including J Robert Oppenheimer and "drunk Einstein".

The second project is Secret, a corporate espionage story illustrated by Ryan Godenheim.

Each project will be "a bit longer" than a six-issue miniseries, with the potential for continuing as an ongoing series.

Frank Cho also unveiled two new titles during the panel, Guns and Dinos and Brutal.

Hickman has focused on projects for Marvel Comics in the last few years, including Secret Warriors, FF and S.H.I.E.L.D., and is heading the publisher's 'Ultimate Comics Reborn' line.

He has also recently returned to creator-owned work with The Red Wing, another collaboration with Pitarra.
