Season One, the company's new publishing line, was announced last week and will introduce new readers to Marvel's most popular characters.
"Aimed at new and old readers alike, the first wave featuring Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil and The X-Men brings readers a complete story, modernising the seminal origins of these characters while also offering new revelations for long-time fans," a Marvel statement said.
"With Marvel: Season One we've assembled a group of great creators who are delivering exciting, iconic, in-continuity stories of our most popular heroes," Marvel SVP Tom Brevoort explained. "If you're a new fan, you can start your journey into comics with Season One, and if you're a seasoned fan you'll find some thrilling new insight into your favourite characters."
Marvel's Season One line begins in February 2012 with the release of Fantastic Four: Season One by Roberto Aguiree-Sacasa and David Marquez.
The line continues in March with X-Men: Season One by Dennis Hopeless and Jamie McKelvie, followed in April by Daredevil: Season One from Antony Johnston and Wellington Alves.
Marvel's first wave of Season One titles will conclude with Spider-Man: Season One by creators Cullen Bunn and Neil Edward in May.
