Fantagraphics marks 35th anniversary

Gary Groth and Kim Thompson revealed the publisher's major upcoming projects at its San Diego Comic-Con panel, reports Comic Book Resources.
Fantagraphics will publish a complete collection of EC Comics series by artist and genre, with four released annually two at a time.
Jack Davis's horror comics and Al Williamson's science-fiction comics will be released in spring 2012, followed by Harvey Kurtzman's war comics and Wally Wood's crime comics in the autumn.
Fantagraphics is also publishing the complete run of Zap Comix, which will be released in autumn 2012.
The series, which launched in the late '60s, featured the work of many influential underground cartoonists.
Lorenzo Mattotti and Claudio Piersanti's black and white Stigmata graphic novel was announced alongside more work from Jacques Tardi and Ulli Lust and the Norwegian strip Simplicissimus.
IDW Publishing also unveiled its latest 'Artist's Edition' featuring the work of Wood at Comic-Con.
