Miles Morales, a half-black, half-Hispanic teenager, will succeed the late Peter Parker in Ultimate Fallout #4, the publisher told USA Today.
"The theme is the same: With great power comes great responsibility," said writer Brian Michael Bendis. "He's going to learn that. Then he has to figure out what that means."
Marvel killed off the Ultimate Universe incarnation of Parker during the 'Death of Spider-Man' plotline. The story's concluding chapter in Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #160 sold more than 159,000 copies.
Following his Ultimate Fallout debut, Morales will star in his own Ultimate Comics Spider-Man series, which kicks off with a new issue #1 in September.
Ultimate Fallout #4 hits stores this week.
