Speaking at his Irredeemable/Incorruptible panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the acclaimed Kingdom Come writer said that fans may see the return of his Empire and Gatecrasher properties, reports Comic Book Resources.
"There's every chance you'll see more Empire soon," said Waid regarding the title set in a world in which villains rule.
He also spoke about Gatecrasher, which was published by Wizard magazine's short-lived Black Bull imprint.
"Is Wizard bankrupt yet?" Waid joked. "If somebody hears that Wizard is bankrupt, let me know, because then the rights are in the open."
Waid said that the details of Empire's return were still to be confirmed and that co-creator Barry Kitson would have to be involved in the project.
Gatecrasher was abruptly cancelled in the middle of a cliffhanger. Waid has previously spoken about his desire to return to the series.
Waid writes Incorruptible and Irredeemable for Boom Studios.
