'Stormwatch' trailer unveiled by DC Comics

DC Comics has released a Stormwatch video teaser.

The trailer features pages from Paul Cornell (Action Comics) and Miguel Sepulveda's (The Thanos Imperative) forthcoming title.

The revived WildStorm property stars original team members including Apollo and Midnighter alongside DC Universe mainstay the Martian Manhunter.

The video shows Stormwatch going up against a threat emerging from the moon.

"I am the scourge of worlds," says the trailer text. "I am here to make your world stronger. Through devastation. You should be afraid."

"They are Stormwatch, a dangerous super human police force whose existence is kept secret from the world," said DC in its solicitation.

"Directly following the ominous events of Superman #1, Adam One leads half the Stormwatch team to recover the [INFORMATION REDACTED] from deep in the Himalayas.

"Meanwhile, Jack Hawksmoor and the rest of the Stormwatch crew look to recruit two of the deadliest super humans on the planet: Midnighter and Apollo! And if they say no? Perhaps the Martian Manhunter can change their minds..."

Stormwatch #1 will be released on September 7.
