Storm, Magick and Colossus - in his new Juggernaut armour - have been added to the picture, the former in X-Men and the latter two in Uncanny.
The teams of X-Men Legacy, X-Factor, Wolverine and the X-Men and Uncanny X-Force will side with Wolverine following his conflict with current leader Cyclops.
"It really is the biggest thing to happen to the X-Men in a very long time," Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso said at Fan Expo Canada's 'X-Men Regenesis' panel.
"[We're] taking X-Men to a place most people thought they'd never go and really dividing them."
