Addressing a fan question on Formspring, the executive insisted that Marvel will not respond to DC Comics' 'New 52' initiative by adopting a similar strategy.
Brevoort wrote: "You and folks like you seem to consider the only answer to a successful DC reboot to be a Marvel reboot. I don't think that's even in the top ten - not that I think we're going to need to get there long-term in any case."
DC Comics' company-wide overhaul began this week with the release of Justice League #1. It will be followed by 51 other new titles bearing the same numbering.
Hulk artist Patrick Zircher previously called for Marvel to reboot its own line to draw in new readers and streamline its continuity.
Justice League #1 is available in stores now.
