'Action Comics' #1, 'Batgirl' #1 sell out at distribution level

Diamond Comic Distributors is said to have ordered second printings of both titles to satisfy retailer demand, according to Bleeding Cool.
Justice League #1, which arrived in stores on Wednesday, sold out at retail level within a day. Today is the deadline for retailers to order in second printings of the comic. A third is expected to follow.
Action Comics is written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Rags Morales. The title features a modern interpretation of Superman, which the writer previously admitted was based on singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen.
Batgirl is penned by Gail Simone with art by Ardian Syaf and Vicente Cifuentes. Barbara Gordon will reprise her role as the title character in the new series, while retaining her Oracle backstory.
Action Comics #1 and Batgirl #1 are released on September 7. It will be available for UK customers to purchase 15 hours before their US counterparts.
