John Arcudi and Doug Mahnke's short-lived DC Comics series, which has long been out of print, will be collected in a volume released this week.
The series followed slacker Lou Martin, who is accidentally granted superpowers and put in charge of a group of equally inept superhumans, set outside the mainstream DC Universe.
"It's great to see this back in print, of course," Arcudi told Newsarama.
"All the rights to Major Bummer reverted to me and Doug about eight or nine years ago. We just needed to grab the digital files for publication and then it was a matter of finding the right deal. Took a bit longer than we planned, but it's here now."
The B.P.R.D. writer and Green Lantern artist had previously collaborated on the creation of The Mask - which spawned the Jim Carrey film of the same name - before working on Major Bummer for DC.
The Complete Major Bummer Super Slacktackular is out today.
