Tony Lee's comic Hope Falls
Hope Falls has been optioned for cinematic adaptation.

Tony Lee's comic book tells the story of a fallen angel who returns to the town where she was murdered to exact revenge on her killers.

"It's The Crow meets Twin Peaks when Helen, a female Angel free falling towards Hell, returns to the steel mill town where she was killed 20 years earlier - to extract revenge on her four murderers," Lee told Comics Worth Reading.

"But then there's a little bit of a Da Vinci Code twist when Michael, the Angel trying to stop her, discovers that the original murder and current revenge spree were both sanctified by the church and Heaven itself."

British studio Future Film has acquired the rights to the title, according to Collider, though a start date for production is yet to be set.

Lee is best known for his work on X-Men Unlimited, Doctor Who, Starship Troopers and Spider-Man. He has also written several creator-owned titles including The Gloom and From the Pages of Bram Stoker's Dracula: Harker.
