Warren Ellis: Captured Ghosts will receive a sneak preview at New York Comic Con, reports The Beat.

From Sequart and Respect Films, the makers of Grant Morrison: Talking with Gods, the documentary features an extended interview with the Transmetropolitan, Planetary and Authority creator.

The press release reads: "Spanning from his first memory watching the moon landing as a child to the recent boffo success of RED, Ellis's acerbic wit and core belief in humanity come across like never before... revealing the unique point of view that has made him such a pivotal and influential figure to his massive audience of artists, journalists, scientists, and fans."

The documentary also features interviews with RED star Helen Mirren, Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night), Matt Fraction (Fear Itself), Darick Robertson (Transmetropolitan), Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Marvel Entertainment's chief creative officer Joe Quesada.

The film will show at Cinema Village on October 14 ahead of its official premiere at the Napa Valley Film Festival in November.
