The temporary Captain America was murdered by the new Red Skull in the conclusion of Fear Itself #3 back in June. However, a new teaser image suggests he may already be returning.
Alongside the tagline "What if there wasn't only one?", the image features Captain America's trademark star in red against an all-black background.

No further details were released alongside the teaser, which hints at either Bucky's return or an entirely new character taking up the Captain America mantle alongside Steve Rogers.
Senior vice president of publishing Tom Brevoort promised fans Bucky's death had been planned as part of an over-arching storyline.
Marvel has yet to announce a creative team for the project, which will launch in January 2012.
